The Story Behind ReSouled
ReSouled is Linda Charles’ new music-inspired collection, drawing on the bold, cinematic visual language associated with legendary designer Saul Bass. With a distinctly vintage, retro character, the collection uses simplified silhouettes, dramatic typography, geometric forms and carefully aged surfaces to evoke the atmosphere of classic mid-century design.
Each original mixed-media artwork is painted in a combination of oils and acrylics, building layers of colour and texture around a strong graphic composition. Rather than simply illustrating a song, Linda reimagines its mood, meaning and energy as a striking visual narrative.
The name ReSouled is deliberately layered: a playful reference to Saul Bass, but also to the idea of giving much-loved songs a new visual soul. Music is created, performed and felt from the soul, and each painting translates that emotional connection into a fresh and distinctive artwork.

ReSouled artworks are individually created original mixed-media paintings in oils and acrylics. Selected works are available to purchase, and Linda Charles accepts a limited number of commissions for collectors wishing to have a favourite song reimagined in the ReSouled style.
